Dr Anupam Kumar

MBBS DCH FRACGP
Dr Anupam Kumar graduated from the University of Bangalore, India in 2000 and after his internships during 2001 – 2003 he relocated to the UK. Dr Kumar worked in Haverfordwest and Hull Royal Infirmary focusing on Accident and Emergency, Orthopaedics and Trauma.

In 2006 Dr Kumar moved to Toowoomba where he worked at Toowoomba Hospital in Accident and Emergency and Paediatrics. From 2008, he has worked as a rural GP throughout Queensland and has special interests in Chronic Disease Management, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics and Skin Cancer Medicine.

Dr Pasi Maphosa

MBChB MRCS FRACGP
Dr Pasi Maphosa graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 1997, moved to the UK in 2002 where he completed basic surgical training before moving to Toowoomba in 2007.

He has worked as a rural GP since 2008 and has a special interest in men’s health, chronic disease management, skin cancer medicine and surgery.

Dr Tsitsi Maphosa

MBChB FRACGP
Dr Tsitsi Maphosa graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 1998 and worked for almost 5 years in the public health service. Tsitsi and her family moved to the UK in 2002 where she worked in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology until 2006. In 2007, Tsitsi and her family relocated to Toowoomba where she worked at various departments at Toowoomba Hospital until 2009.  
 
Since 2010, Tsitsi has worked as a general practitioner in Toowoomba with a special interest in women’s health including :
  • Breast checks
  • Contraception
  • Fertility concerns
  • Implanon insertion and removal
  • Menstrual problems
  • Mirena IUD insertion and removal
  • Pregnancy care and Pap smears
  • Sexual health
 
Dr Maphosa has Certificates in Women's Health and Sexual Health & Reproductive Health.

Registrar - Dr Sweta Rani 

MBBS DCH FRACGP

Dr Sweta Rani completed her MBBS in 2003 in India.
She moved to Australia in 2006.

She has worked at Bundaberg hospital and Toowoomba hospital in various departments.
She completed her Diploma in Child Health from Sydney University in 2014.

In 2016 she completed her training for FPAA certificate( Family planning Alliance Australia National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health).

She attained her Fellowship of Royal College of GPs in 2017.

Dr Rani has special interests in:

  • Sexual and reproductive health
  • Women's Health
  • Family planning
  • Planned parenthood/unplanned pregnancies

Registrar - Dr Laurie Chow

MBBS BBSc BSc(Honours) PhD
Dr Laurie Chow completed his PhD research in molecular physiology at the University of Melbourne in 2009 and graduated with his Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at Bond University, Queensland in 2012. He completed his medical internship at the Gold Coast University Hospital in 2013 and subsequently worked there as a resident medical officer in various departments with a special interest in Emergency Medicine, General Internal Medicine and subacute/chronic disease management.

Dr Ela Ranjithan graduated from University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka in 2007. Subsequently, she moved to Australia and has worked in various specialities in New South Wales and Queensland. Her special interests are womens and child health. 

Registrar - Dr Gino Ubriaco

Dr Gino Ubriaco completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Canada before moving to Australia to pursue medical training. Gino graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery at James Cook University in 2014. He subsequently completed his internship and residency in Townsville at the Townsville Hospital with a special interest in Paediatrics.

The team at ‘Healthy Lifestyles Australia’ include health professionals in the areas of Dietetics, Nutrition, Diabetes Education, Personal Training and Exercise Physiology.

‘Healthy Lifestyles Australia’ provides the Australian community with the most up to date and effective treatments available for health and wellness. Chronic disease prevention and management is their primary area of interest, however, the practitioners can assist in a wide variety of cases.

These include, work cover claims, corporate health, general injury rehabilitation, fitness, public speaking on nutrition and exercise, general nutrition enquiries, diabetes education, as well as sporting injuries, performance and strength and conditioning.

ReGen Psychology - Anita Baills

Anita was trained as a counsellor for four years working in her own private practice before deciding to study psychology. While pursuing her psychology degree she worked extensively across the state as a Community Recovery Counsellor for Lifeline Darling Downs (LLDD). Additionally, she was a Recovery Support Worker for the Personal Helpers and Mentors program (LLDD). 
Since working as a psychologist Anita has worked at a variety of locations with a number of clients, at varying ages. Currently, Anita offers services using a number of therapies for individuals, couples and families. ReGen Psychology is all about assisting clients in ReBuilding new thought patterns, ReStoring emotions and ReNewing behaviours by becoming aware, acknowledging and changing old patterns to new patterns, bringing about ReGeneration of the whole person.
